"I have two simple words…Bootcamp Works!!! I started taking classes in June, 2010 and can’t believe the results I’ve achieved. In less than 6 months I had gone from a snug size 8 pant to a very comfy size 2.  

I’ve always been active and working out has always been a part of my life.  I didn’t think it would happen to me but it did - I’m 47 and had hit that over 40 nothing works phase that I had always heard people talking about. I had been doing weight lifting, spin classes, and kick boxing diligently for over a year and wasn’t seeing results…actually I was going in the wrong direction. I was doing everything I thought you were supposed to do but I was the heaviest I had ever been and was beginning to think nothing would work…and then I found Keena (cue the trumpets!). I went to Bootcamp with my mat, hand weights, and water bottle and found just what I was looking for.  This 45 minute class is proof positive that you don’t need fancy, expensive equipment to achieve and exceed your fitness goals. Every class is different and it’s always fun to go and see what she’ll come up with next.  Keena motivates you to do things you didn’t know you were capable of doing.  There’s no prouder moment than getting that note from her after class pointing how you did _____(fill in the blank) great today or how she’s noticing the tone in your arms and legs. It makes you want to do even more.  She also teaches you how and what to eat to fuel your body properly.  

I’ve never felt better or stronger and I have Keena to thank for that."

I confess, last year push mowing the yard was painful, many sitdown breaks because I was sooo out of breath, legs and feet were aching, just pitiful!! It actually would take me two afternoons to finish the yard.
Now let me say, my front yard is not that big but the back yard is sizable.
However, last night I mowed the entire yard with only water break. Wahoo!!!!!
I AM SO PROUD OF HOW FAR I HAVE COME IN A SHORT TIME!!!! J

Working out is something I enjoy doing. I am at a point that when I don’t work out, I miss it a lot.

I did get to a point where I needed something different. I was getting bored with my workouts and I did have an area I needed to work on, my tummy.  With all that I was doing nothing was helping.  So when a friend asked me to try out this boot camp I said ok.

Well it was the answer to my problem! No really, within two months I started to lose inches and weight.  I was losing my tummy (the extra one). I actually felt better too!  The bonus of all this was that I have not had the same work out since I started, unbelievable! It never gets boring and the challenges are constant. Even though it’s a group of people I still feel that I get a one on one with Keena, she pushes and drives me to do my hardest and best.

Since I started working out with Keena, I feel stronger and more energetic--daily tasks are easier i.e. being able to work full time, keeping up household chores while raising my daughter (getting out and playing with her and taking her to various activities) w/o feeling too fatigued.
I feel that I am toning up quite a bit.

Keena is serious about being a good fitness instructor.
Her bootcamp has been a big part of my overall fitness plan, every outing is different and challenging, an important part of muscle toning or growth.
Every muscle group gets targeted.
Sessions are full of challenges and fun at the same time.
If you are looking for a jump start to your fitness goals or just starting for the first time, this is your time!
Keena is also full of great advice about fueling our bodies to go along with a great exercise program.

I was always scared of gyms and workout equipment.  Everyone seemed to know more than me and I felt out of place.  Yet, I wanted to be a better me, to strengthen my body and self-image.  I interviewed a ton of trainers before selecting Keena and I have never looked back.  We met and she assessed my desires and goals and then set out to design a program that guided me to smart growth and confidence.  With her by my side I felt I could do things I was always hesitant to do before and she consistently surprised me with showing me I was strong enough to do things I’d never imagined.  Session by session and week by week she helped me understand and advance, increasing my core strength and confidence throughout my body.  I’ve seen trainers at gyms who simply put people on machines and count reps, trainers who believe yelling and talking down to clients moves them forward, and beyond.  Keena does none of this.  She listens.  She watches.  She corrects and teaches.  She explains.  And, she gets results.

I’m loving Bootcamp! I may not saying that to myself during the workouts on the hot, humid mornings but I do feel the love afterwards. It’s such a sense of accomplishment because I never thought I could do it. The early morning workouts are best for me because something will always come up after work that keeps me from being able to exercise consistently. I started 5 months ago and I have been amazed at the upper body strength I have gained in such a short time. I’ve dropped some pounds and lost inches all over and have even noticed definition in the muscles in my legs and arms. There’s no way to get bored with the workouts because no two days have ever been the same. Keena and the group that I workout with are such encouragers during the hard stuff…..no Jillian Michaels on site J…..so that’s like an added bonus to crawling out of bed at 4:30, three mornings a week, to be healthy
